About OH SHOOT! PLANTS

Oh Shoot! Plants is an independent houseplant shop in the heart of Congleton, bringing together plants, practical advice, coffee and a growing programme of workshops and events. The shop is home to hundreds of houseplants, from easy-care favourites and compact plants to unusual finds, statement plants and more specialist collector pieces.

It is a place for both experienced plant collectors and people buying their first houseplant. Alongside the plants, you'll find terrariums, plant care products and other plant-related items, while the Plant Clinic provides a free walk-in service for people who need help with a struggling plant. The shop also offers Coffee in the Jungle, serving locally roasted Beartown Coffee, so you can pop in for a coffee even if you're not there to buy a plant.

The online shop extends the Jungle beyond Congleton, with houseplants and plant-related products available for UK delivery, as well as collection from the shop.

Can I visit Oh Shoot! Plants just for coffee?

Yes. Coffee in the Jungle is open to anyone, whether you're shopping for plants, meeting a friend or simply fancy a coffee somewhere a little greener. The shop serves locally roasted Beartown Coffee.

Can I get help with a sick or struggling plant?

Yes. The Plant Clinic is a free walk-in service during normal opening hours. You can bring a plant in for help even if you didn't originally buy it from Oh Shoot! Plants. If you suspect pests, the shop asks you to contact them before bringing the plant in.

Do I need plant experience to attend a workshop?

No. Many of the workshops are designed to be beginner friendly, with guidance throughout and plenty of opportunity to ask questions. Materials are generally included, although individual event listings should be checked for exactly what is provided.

Can I book a private plant workshop?

Yes. Oh Shoot! Plants offers private workshops and group sessions for occasions and groups including birthdays, hen parties, work socials, schools and other organisations.

Can I buy plants online?

Yes. The online Jungle includes houseplants, rare and unusual plants, terrariums and plant care products. Plants and selected products are available for UK delivery, with collection also available from the Congleton shop.

Meet The Business

Oh Shoot! Plants was founded by Nath from a long-standing passion for houseplants and has grown into something that is about much more than selling plants. The Jungle is designed as a place where people can browse, ask questions, learn something new and spend a bit of time surrounded by greenery.

That same approach carries through into the workshops and events. Sessions are designed to be practical and welcoming, with small groups, guidance throughout and something to take home. Private workshops are also available for groups including birthdays, hen parties, work socials and schools.
