Family-Run Craft Distillery in the Heart of Cheshire
We are Cheshire Botanicals, a family-run craft spirits business proudly based in the Nantwich countryside. Home to the locally-loved Nantwich Gin, our distillery was born during lockdown in 2020 with one simple goal: to give our hometown its very own gin.
Our journey began when Founding Director Holly perfected the recipe for our award-winning London Dry Nantwich Gin in a garden shed-turned-distillery. With the support of Deb, a dedicated NHS Matron, and Paul, a horticultural consultant with expertise in vertical farming and botanicals, we created something special – a spirit rooted in nature, inspired by history, and crafted with care.
Inspired by Nantwich, Made for You
Every bottle of Nantwich Gin is a love letter to our town, its culture and its fascinating stories. From the pioneering botanist John Gerard to the discovery of oxygen by Joseph Priestley, we weave Nantwich’s heritage into each of our labels and recipes.
Our distillery sits on a once-working farm surrounded by fields, wildlife and our much-loved rescue “distillery cats”. Many of the botanicals we use, like lemon thyme and lavender, are grown right here on-site, making our gins uniquely balanced and full of character.

Visit Us
In late 2024 we opened our very own shop at The Cocoa Yard, Nantwich (CW5 5BL). Pop by for tastings, gifts, and unique collaborations with other brilliant independent brands from across the UK. Our shop is dog-friendly, so you can bring along your four-legged friends while you browse. You’ll also find us at local artisan markets, food festivals, and events such as The Cheshire Show.
