Nantwich Gin is the flagship spirit of Cheshire Botanicals, a family-run craft spirits business based in the Nantwich countryside. Created during the lockdown period, the business was founded with a simple idea: to create a gin that celebrated the town of Nantwich and its rich history, culture and people.
The team carefully develop their spirits using a blend of traditional botanicals and ingredients grown through innovative on-site horticultural methods. Botanicals such as lavender and lemon thyme play a role in recipe development, helping create distinctive gins with their own character and flavour profiles.
Every bottle tells a local story. From the inspiration drawn from Nantwich-born botanist John Gerard to the town's historic streets and personalities, the range is rooted in a strong connection to the local area. Alongside their online shop, customers can also visit their specialist spirits shop in Cocoa Yard, Nantwich, where they can discover the range and explore other carefully selected spirits.

Meet The Business
Nantwich Gin was born from a love of the local area and a desire to create something that reflected it. During the lockdown years, founder Holly spent months developing the original recipe, supported by family members Paul and Deb. Together they combined expertise in horticulture, healthcare, creativity and storytelling to build what would become Cheshire Botanicals.
Today, the business continues to grow while remaining firmly connected to its roots. The family draw inspiration from Nantwich's history, local characters and botanical heritage, creating spirits that feel closely tied to the place they call home. Their shop in Cocoa Yard offers visitors the chance to discover the range and learn more about the stories behind each bottle.
