Every Carrot Club Meet-Up is hosted inside a different independent business that's part of the Spiky Carrot network.

No pitches, no formal networking. Just genuine conversations, meaningful local connections, and the chance to discover the independent businesses that make our local patch unique.

No two meet-ups are the same. Every venue brings its own character, and we gently help everyone mix throughout the event, making it easy to meet new people in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

About This Meet-Up

Join us for another relaxed Carrot Club Meet-Up as we spend the afternoon with the team at Bare Health in the heart of Congleton.

Bare Health is much more than a health and wellness shop. It's a welcoming space where people come for trusted advice, natural products, and genuine conversations. Run by Mel and her mum, the business has become a valued part of the local community, built on a real passion for helping people live healthier, happier lives.

During the meet-up you'll have the opportunity to hear their story, discover what inspired them to create Bare Health, and learn more about the products, services and wellbeing advice they offer. Whether you're already interested in health and wellness or simply enjoy discovering inspiring independent businesses, you'll leave knowing a little more about this wonderful local business and the people behind it.

As always, the afternoon is designed to be relaxed and welcoming, giving local business owners plenty of opportunities to chat naturally, make new connections and enjoy spending time together in a unique independent venue.

The Experience

Arrive a little before 12:30pm, settle in with refreshments and take some time to look around the shop before everyone gathers together.

Mel will introduce Bare Health, sharing how the business has grown into an important part of the Congleton community and the passion that drives everything they do. You'll have the opportunity to explore the shop, discover a wide range of health and wellbeing products, and ask questions throughout the visit.

A guest speaker will also be joining us, with details to be announced soon.

There will be plenty of time to meet other local business owners in a relaxed environment where conversations happen naturally, without pressure or formal networking activities.

To make the afternoon even more special, every attendee will also receive a complimentary goodie bag to take home.

Bare Health is an independent health and wellness shop based on Congleton High Street, dedicated to helping people make informed choices about their wellbeing.

Every Carrot Club meet-up is hosted by one of our trusted venue partners, so the number of places varies from venue to venue. Whatever the size, we always aim to create a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere where everyone has the chance to chat and make meaningful connections.

Parking

The easiest place to park is Morrisons Congleton, which offers up to 3 hours of free parking. We recommend using the underground car park, as it's usually the easiest place to find a space and is just a short walk to Bare Health.

If Morrisons is busy, there are several other convenient public car parks nearby, including:

Princess Street Car Park
Back Park Street Car Park
Antrobus Street Car Park

All are within a few minutes' walk of the venue.

Congleton railway station is around a 15 to 20-minute walk away, with regular bus services stopping in the town centre just a short distance from the shop.

Please aim to arrive 10 minutes before the meet-up starts, giving you time to park, have a look around the shop, and grab a chat before we begin.

Can I come on my own?: Absolutely. Many people attend on their own. The meet up is designed to be welcoming and relaxed so it is easy to start conversations and meet others.

What happens during the meet up?: We begin with a short welcome and a quick introduction from the independent business hosting the event. After that the evening is informal networking where you can chat with other attendees and explore the venue.

Will there be food or drinks available?

Yes. The meet ups take place inside independent venues such as cafés, bakeries or breweries, so you will have the opportunity to buy coffee, cake, beer or other local products during the event.

We encourage attendees to support the venue by purchasing something while they are there. One of the goals of the meet ups is to help people discover and support great local businesses, and each venue offers something a little different.

Will there be an opportunity to meet different people?: Yes. Towards the end of the meet up we encourage people to move around and chat with different groups so everyone has the chance to meet someone new.
