About This Meet-Up
Join us for our next Carrot Club Meet-Up at Mabel’s Café & Tea Rooms in the heart of Altrincham, a warm and welcoming independent café built around community, conversation, and making people feel at home.
Mabel’s began as owner Mandy’s long-held dream of creating a space where everyone feels comfortable. Today, it has become a much-loved local spot where people of all ages come together over good food, great coffee, and friendly conversation.
This meet-up gives you the chance to discover the story behind the café, meet Mandy, and learn more about the journey of running an independent business that has become part of the local patch.
We’ll also be joined by guest speaker Rebecca Moloney from Career Garage, who will be sharing insights from her own experience and expertise, offering ideas and inspiration for fellow business owners.
As always, this isn’t traditional networking. There are no pitches or pressure, just genuine conversations, local connections, and the chance to spend time in a brilliant independent venue.
The Experience
Arrive at Mabel’s Café & Tea Rooms and settle in with a hot drink included in your ticket. Before our guest speaker begins, there’ll be plenty of time to mingle naturally with other local business owners in a relaxed and welcoming setting.
You’ll have the opportunity to meet fellow independents, share experiences, discover local businesses, and make new connections without the formality often found at networking events.

Throughout the afternoon, you’ll also get to experience one of Altrincham’s much-loved independent cafés and hear more about the story behind the business and the people who run it.

Yes. The meet ups take place inside independent venues such as cafés, bakeries or breweries, so you will have the opportunity to buy coffee, cake, beer or other local products during the event.
