About This Meet-Up
This October, we’re heading to Ebenezer’s in Nantwich for an afternoon of good conversations, craft beer and interesting people.
Ebenezer’s is a unique independent venue in the heart of Nantwich, with a great selection of craft beers and plenty of character.
For this meet-up, you’ll get to meet Nick, who manages the venue, and hear more about Ebenezer’s, the story behind the business and what it’s like running an independent venue in Nantwich.
We’ll also be joined by Mark Spence from Changing Men, who is a great speaker and always brings plenty to the conversation.
And, of course, because we’re at Ebenezer’s, your ticket includes a half pint of your choice from their selection of craft beers.
It’s a relaxed afternoon to discover somewhere different, meet other independent business owners and enjoy some good conversation without the usual networking pressure.
What to Expect
Every Carrot Club Meet-Up is hosted inside a different independent business that's part of the Spiky Carrot network.
No pitches, no formal networking. Just genuine conversations, meaningful local connections, and the chance to discover the independent businesses that make our local patch unique.
No two meet-ups are the same. Every venue brings its own character, and we gently help everyone mix throughout the event, making it easy to meet new people in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
The Experience
Arrive at Ebenezer’s and get settled in with the other business owners joining us.
We’ll have time to grab a drink, have a chat and get to know the people around us before hearing more about the venue from Nick.
Nick will share the story of Ebenezer’s and give us an insight into the venue and what goes on behind the scenes.
You’ll also get a half pint of your choice from the craft beer selection, giving you the chance to try something new or choose an old favourite.
We’ll then hear from our guest speaker Mark Spence from Changing Men, followed by time for conversation and questions.
As always, there’ll be plenty of opportunity to meet other local business owners naturally, with the focus on good conversations rather than formal networking.

About The Venue
Ebenezer’s Nantwich is an independent craft beer venue in the heart of Nantwich.
The venue offers a great selection of craft beers in a building with plenty of character, creating a relaxed place to enjoy a drink, meet people and discover something different.
For this meet-up, Nick will be joining us to share more about Ebenezer’s, the business and the venue itself.

This meet-up has space for up to 15 people.
Every Carrot Club meet-up is hosted by one of our trusted venue partners, so the number of places varies from venue to venue. Whatever the size, we always aim to create a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere where everyone has the chance to chat and make meaningful connections.

Parking
Ebenezer’s Nantwich is at 2 Castle Street, in the centre of town. There’s no private parking, but several public car parks are just a short walk away.
Bowling Green Car Park on The Gullet is one of the closest options.
Snow Hill Car Park on Waterlode has 247 spaces and is free after 3pm, making it a good option for our 3:30pm start.
Nantwich bus and railway stations are also within walking distance.

We begin with a short welcome and a quick introduction from the independent business hosting the event. After that the evening is informal networking where you can chat with other attendees and explore the venue.
- Will there be food or drinks available?

Yes. The meet ups take place inside independent venues such as cafés, bakeries or breweries, so you will have the opportunity to buy coffee, cake, beer or other local products during the event.
We encourage attendees to support the venue by purchasing something while they are there. One of the goals of the meet ups is to help people discover and support great local businesses, and each venue offers something a little different.
- Will there be an opportunity to meet different people?

Yes. Towards the end of the meet up we encourage people to move around and chat with different groups so everyone has the chance to meet someone new.
