Meet The Business
The story began in 2020, when Brian and Deborah Brereton started making handcrafted ice cream during lockdown. Their first tub was sold in August that year, and demand soon grew enough for them to open an ice cream shop with its own kitchen in 2023.
In 2024, Sophie took over the business and relaunched it as the Coffee House@Mobberley Ice Cream Co., building on the original ice cream business while developing the space into somewhere people can come for coffee, food, conversation and a little time away from the usual routine.
Today, that includes creating a welcoming environment for local business owners and remote workers who want somewhere different to work from. It is a place where getting some work done can come with a proper coffee, a bit of food and, of course, some handcrafted ice cream.
