Starting a business can teach you far more about yourself than you expect. In this article, Sonka reflects on her first three years of running a business, from the practical lessons of her first year to the deeper personal questions that emerged as the business developed. She explores how confidence, beliefs about money, self-trust and her own sense of capability became just as important as learning about marketing, sales, pricing and clients. In her second year, the focus shifted towards understanding what kind of business she actually wanted to build, who she wanted to work with and what genuinely worked for her. Rather than simply following conventional business advice, she began treating the business almost like another entity, asking what it needed and where it wanted to go. The result has been a journey of business development that has also become a process of personal development.
